My dropbox has disappeared!

I have used dropbox (personal) for a long time. A staff member of mine opened a NEW dropbox account but invited me as a team member using the email address I used to access my personal account. This is when it all went to pot. I had not even accepted the invitation when I tried to login to my personal account (obviously my personal password is not what my staff has used for the new account). Despite this, I logged in to the new team account and not my personal dropbox! Therefore, she UNinvited me from the team yet I seem to still be able to login and get the team account and not my own despite using my own password. Really do not know what to do now. Help someone please!

This is a bug in the "team" merge - it happened to me. Eventually I was able to see which accounts were associated with which emails and remove the spurious "team" account.

I had to consult with team and see which emails now connected with which accounts.

on holiday over xmas i dropped my phone in the pool it wasnt repairable and so i was sent a new one, when i reloaded dropbox all my photos were missing, at the time i didnt have dropbox on my laptop only on my i phone, can i recover them

What is www.dropbox.com/events showing? Were they ever uploaded?

They are only recoverable if you actually uploaded them - simply installing the app isnt enough to do that.

Hi Mark.  Yes the files were uploaded. Was able to access them from all devices including home and work computers.  Interestingly on my work computer the Dropbox folder showing with all the drives is still showing my old files as they were until around 3 months ago. I am well and truly disconnected from the new account with the team folder ie my email address as been uninvited but my login details are still getting me onto the new account!  Despite not using the password for the new account.
