is there a way to not use the computer hard drive and use an external hard drive for dropbox
Hello there @legendsteve, I hope you're well today!
You could use an external drive for your Dropbox folder, however there are some risks. If the drive disconnects while the Dropbox app is running then there could be some data loss.
I'd suggest checking out the info provided here for more info on this, and the steps to move the Dropbox folder if you decide to go ahead with that.
Let me know if you have any questions!
