I need to get dropbox off my windows 10 PC everynight.

It's a pain in the ass.  Is there an easy way to do that?

right now, I can't even get the folder to disappear at all.

There must be a way to do that.  It's a quasi-public computer.

I'm not sure I understand what the problem is, but it sounds like your best options would be to either:

Are you going through the uninstall process? You can't just delete the Dropbox folder without uninstalling the application. Well, you can, but that won't remove the application.

So I need to install and uninstall the app every day? Isn’t that pretty much a total waste of time?

You should only need to delete the program once. It won't come back on its own, so you're either uninstalling it incorrectly or some other program is reinstalling it every day (which is unlikely).

Did you follow the steps in the Uninstall Process page that Rich linked? That should remove Dropbox from your computer.

Hey there,

If as you say it’s a sort-of-public computer, most likely it’s a work or family computer that others use.

If the Dropbox desktop application isn’t uninstalling, or somehow is being reinstalled automatically, then it might be due to the settings of the computer itself.

Sometimes admins can setup machines to ensure that certain programs are always on there, meaning it would check if Dropbox was installed, and if not, to reinstall it.

If this is possible on your end, then this could be why the folder isn’t disappearing.

I need to install it everyday, because I need to use it everyday, but I need to uninstall it everyday because it's a public computer. Isn't there an easier way to just login and log out?  I can't figure how to login and logout of the app - and you guys are telling me to uninstall the app every night. Isn't that a waste of time?
