Never see file status on finder

Never see file status on finder

Using Macbook Pro with 10.13.6 High Sierra

I never see the online/offline stutus on the finder... like the green check box that should indicate the file is updated.. never see it

It's very hard to manage local storage usage without knowing which files are physically on the machine and which are online only. How do I monitor this info?

Thanks for your swift reply, @danielevioli

Since the desktop app is running and up to date, could you also have a look at this article which gives some ideas on what to do if you can't see the syncing icons on your files.

Hey @danielevioli, thanks for checking in with us!

I'd be more than happy to help, I'll just need a bit more info. For example, do you see the Dropbox icon next to your computer's clock? If you:

  • Don't see it, it means that the desktop app isn't running and you'll have to manually relaunch it. 
  • Do see it, could you let me know what it shows when you hover over it?

Yes I do, it says:

"Dropbox 86.4.146

Up to date"
