We have the same problem on a Mac updated to the latest version of Yosemite. It appears that the finder isn't updating consistently. v3.0.4 seemed to fix the issue at first but the problem is still there. Very annoying. Are you still having problems?
Same with 3.0.3: I thought it had fixed the problem at first, but it happened again today.
Apparently, upgrading to 3.0.4 won't do the trick...
I'm getting the same issue outside of Dropbox so it's likely unrelated.
My new files don't show up in Finder(such as something saved from Safari or printed as a PDF). They do show up in Terminal. If I do a spotlight search for the file, the file is found and suddenly appears in the Finder window as well, but not until I do that.
I am having the same issue. I am on Dropbox 3.0.5 and Yosemite 10.10.1. I can see files when I use Adobe Bridge but not in the Finder. This is very frustrating.
Workaround to make your own "Refresh" button:
Create AppleScript, save as "App"
tell application "Finder" to tell front window to update every item
Find File where you saved it in Finder, Command-Drag to Finder Toolbar area.
I am having the same problem. I'm running OS X 10.10.2, have the most up to date version of dropbox. I am able to see from the dropbox icon that the new file was added, and I'm able to see them when I look through folders from the dock, however through finder they don't exist at all. Other macs at work with prior versions are not having this problem.
Any fixes yet?
