Dropbox was working fine then today suddenly I am getting a message saying "No preview available" and" this file type can't be viewed". These are PDF files that literally were working yesterday. Any ideas how to fix this?
Hi there
Sorry for the delayed response - are you still having issues?

I'm having the same problem as Kareem S. I created a media file from Canva app saved it to dropbox. It created a zip file. However when I try to open the file I get the message "No preview available and it can't be viewed".
Please help!
I am also having this in my iPad DropBox app. Works fine on my macbook air and iMac.
Why is there no actionable results from DropBox (i.e., what I can do to get it to work, rahter than, "is it still working?")

The issue is that I do not get previews of any files—PDF, DOCX, XLSX or any other. Up until recently I got previews without any problem.

I'm sorry, my frustration with Dropbox since the launch of the new design is getting to me!
I open Dropbox on my MacBook Air and I select a folder. This gives me a list of the files in that folder. I doubleclick on a file. A preview of that file momentarily flashes up but is replaced immediately by the message "This file cannot be previewed" followed by the filename.
—If that particular folder is synchronised on my hard drive this is followed by a button "Open". When I open the file I can use it as normal.
—If that folder is not syncronised on my hard drive this is followed by a button "Download". When I download the file I can open it as usual.
This applies for all file types. The failure to show a preview appears to apply only since the Dropbox redesign.
