The issue: when offline sync is activated for, say, a folder and files in that folder change, they will be highlighted with an orange icon, meaning they are up for the next offline sync when in wifi zone.
Now, if I open and download a non-synced file in mobile internet zone, it will still be marked for sync and won't appear as "synced" with a green icon. Even though the file has been fully loaded.
Can the file be automatically saved locally if a) it is marked for offline sync and b) it's been fully downloaded by manually opening the file?
This happens to me constantly with audio files. I will play the same file 10 times and dropbox will load the file anew each time.
Hello @baertholomeus!
Would you mind clarifying what you're referring to when you mentioned downloading a non-synced file?
Do you mean when playing the file within the Dropbox app without making it available offline?
Keep me posted!

One of the main reasons I use Dropbox is to keep some apps in sync. I need to be able to open a file from an app, NOT FROM DROPBOX, to use this effectively.
If I choose to make this available offline, make it available. Every single support thing posted here about this has the incredibly stupid and assinine suggestion to export the file.
Stop the stupidity. We need video, audio, text, etc. accessibly. Stop trying to determine that you know best how we manage storage on a mobile.
The way we work is changing. Share and discover new ways to work smarter with Dropbox in our community.
