Online Only

Good afternoon,

I've recently started using Dropbox on a MacBook Air. I once managed to swap the dropbox setting to online-only which it has now started to sync back to my laptop, causing it to crash as there is not enough storage space.

How do I manage online only?

Many thanks,

Jella Maartje

Hey @jellamaartje; thanks for using Dropbox and welcome to our Community!

It sounds like you're experiencing this behavior; could you take a look and confirm if that's the case?

While at it, can you please clarify if you're able to launch the desktop app at all or if it's immediately crashing?

Keep me posted!

Hi Walter,

Thanks for your message!

Yes, I believe it is experiencing this behaviour.

I am able to have the dropbox app downloaded to my desktop however, not able to view all folders that have been shared with me. I am limited to my own folders.

Many thanks,

Jella Maartje

Could it be that they're selectively unsynced from your computer then, Jella?

Can you take a look at your selective sync settings through the app's preferences and let me know if you see any of the folders you're looking for there?
