Open in windows explorer from firefox

Open in windows explorer from firefox

Christian_Paulsen
Explorer | Level 4

When I open a link from Dropbox and see the document online, I most of the time want to open it in Windows Explorer in order to find out its exact location, which can be hard due to a lot of folders. The problem is, that the possibility is not available on Firefox, which we are bound to use. It doesn't help installing Adobe Flash Player.

Hello there @Christian_Paulsen, thanks for reaching out to us.

If you're not seeing the Open button, could you have a look at this article for some ways to tackle this?

Let me know what you find, cheers!

Thanks for your answer. My problem is however not, that the "open" button won't show, but that the option to open it in windows explorer isn't on Firefox, but is there on Chrome

Hi @Christian_Paulsen, as per the article my colleague posted, do you have Firefox with Flash Player 10 or later enabled in order for all the options in the Open button to appear?

Yes I have. Whenever I allow Flash Player in the Firefox browser it lags for a long time, but when it unfreezes the option is still not available.

Thanks for following up on this @Christian_Paulsen.

Can you check if you get the same results on a private browsing window with no plugins or extensions running?

Keep us posted!

@Walter Yes still nothing. I find it weird, that it is working in Chrome even without Adobe Flash player allowed, but not at all in Firefox.
