I have tried the 'mv' command found in other posts. The problem is that the path doesn't exist. How can I recreate/reset the root, or Home directory for the Dropbox app installed on a Mac?

It sounds like you're using a Mac device. Could you confirm what other posts you're referring to in order to move the Dropbox folder?

If you're getting the error, then it means that the Dropbox folder isn't just called Dropbox. Are you part of a Dropbox Business team, which would change the name of the team?

Have you tried these steps to move the folder back to the default location?

I am referring to posts such as this . But the users folder in question doesn't exist. In that specific post I am getting the same error, however the soultion of an advanced re-install did not work. I also can't complete the steps suggested here as Dropbox won't launch, and gives me an error of
