Photo Upload Android

Photo Upload Android

Good morning. I'm using Dropbox for Android version 242.2.2. For about the past month, I've been getting this message on my photo uploads: "Waiting for Wi-Fi." Uploads work just fine over cellular data, but I don't want to use cellular data. My Wi-Fi works just fine otherwise. Other apps (OneDrive) that automatically upload my photos over Wi-Fi work just fine. I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Any other ideas?

Hey @RamblinHawk, thanks for posting in our Community!

Since the photos are getting uploaded, when you're connected to mobile data, but not your WiFi, this looks like an issue with the specific connection.

Have you tried connecting to a different WiFi connection, to see if that works?

Let me know what you find.

Yeah, I've tried on probably a dozen different Wi-Fi networks. Same issue. Again, other apps work fine on all of these Wi-Fi networks, including ones that upload photos in the background.

I see. Thanks for the update on this!

Can you try uninstalling the Dropbox app, restarting the device and reinstalling it, to see if that helps?

Just keep in mind that if you have a free Basic account, there's a limit of 3 connected devices, so make sure you have 3 or less, before you uninstall.

You can check that in the security tab of your account settings.

Thanks. I have a paid Dropbox Plus account. I uninstalled, restated, and reinstalled. Same problem. "Waiting for WiFi." Wifi is connected and working fine with literally every other app on my phone.
