Problems w Office 365 designating Dropbox as a place

I have read that Office 365  has stopped allowing DropBox to be a "Place" within the application.  Both Dropbox & Office application on my computers, a mix of PCs and Apples.   Is there a work around to shuttle files between office applications and dropbox, particuliarly of the HP PC?

Do you have the Dropbox desktop application installed on your computer? If so, can you not just open and save files within the Dropbox folder on your local drive?
