Re-install Dropbox but now stuck at "waiting to download Dropbox"

Re-install Dropbox but now stuck at "waiting to download Dropbox"

I tried to re-install Dropbox Client on my Windows 10 PC. I've downloaded the latest Dropbox client from the official site, but it will stuck a "waiting to download". I've also tried the offline installer with no luck. Same situation.

I was wondering could anyone help me to resolve this issue?

Hi @TCLI; how are you today?

From the sounds of it, the download of our installer wasn't complete or somehow interrupted. Could you reboot your computer and try anew, perhaps from another browser?

If you still get the same error, please forward me a screenshot so I can get a visual too.

Thanks!

I've restarted my PC hundred of times. Trust me. I've googled related topics and discussions. It's still in "Waiting to download Dropbox".

Like I said before, I've tried to download the installer that you linked, as well as the offline installer. Also, I tried to follow the advance re-install guide, still with no luck.

If this problem can not be resolved, I probably will switch to another product.

Thanks for the update @TCLI.

Could you check your hard drive space on your computer, simply by opening up My Computer? The Explorer window should inform you of how much free space you have left while if it doesn't, right-click on your hard drive and click 'Properties'.

While we're at it, have you rebooted your computer and router lately?

Let me know what you find!

.....

I got plenty of space left (over 1TB free space). I've rebooted my PC and try to install dropbox every day. It just stops at "waiting to download" every time.

Trust me. I'm an electronics engineer. I know how to isolate the problem...

Thanks for the update @TCLI.

I'm sorry to ask the obvious; I'm just excluding factors here as I don't have a visual of your device's logs or account's information.

This might sound far fetched, but are you familiar with an app called 'Boxifier'? I remember there was a setting that could block our app's updates from running properly; this is why I'm asking.

If you've never heard of it, please try creating a brand new local Operating System user profile with administrator rights and try to reproduce the behavior there.

In either case, please keep me posted!

I don't want to create another admin user in my PC.

I've checked my PC and don't have Boxifier/Google Drive installed.

I've tried to replicate the issue in my virtual machine, but it works fine in my virtual machine.
