Recents only shows Paper documents now

Explorer | Level 4

In the recents tab on the app (though this also applies to the desktop) I am only able to see Paper files, which I don't use. How do I get back a view of ALL files that I have recently opened or changed?

Hey there @Clare H.2 , welcome to the Community and thanks for sharing this with us! 
 
It shouldn’t be the case that only Paper docs are showing up in your Recents”, unless it happens that only Paper docs were your post recently accessed files. 
 
If this is not updating, and you’re not seeing more recently accessed files replacing the Paper docs listed, on the app, could you try manually force quitting the app and relaunching it for starters?
 
If this doesn’t change anything, I'd suggest performing a quick uninstall and reinstall of the app as well.

I'm not sure about the app, but you can try https://dropbox.com/recents in a browser.
