Hey @jgprato, If you have opted-in for the early access of the new desktop app (https://www.dropbox.com/desktopapp), you should get a new dropbox explorer once you click the file icon instead of Windows explorer.

Hi there @jgprato

Welcome to the Dropbox Community!

If you'd like to opt in to the new Dropbox desktop app, you can find more info about how to in this article.

If you've checked it out and you're still having trouble with this, let me know!

When I clicked on the DropBox Icon on the Lower RHS of my screen I still get

after installing the Desktop Application.

Or have I missed something in what to expect?

I have downloaded the latest version (linked in this article: https://www.dropbox.com/desktop) and it isn't working for me. I cannot use the new Spaces and all that I see is a new design, but not the files or folders as described in the promotional info.

I have tried to change 'open folder' settings in 'preferences', but it doesn't appear as an option.

Could you help?

Have you opted into using the new Desktop app through the desktop app's preferences (under the General tab) @Álvaro F.  ?

You can find all about this here:

https://help.dropbox.com/installs-integrations/desktop/desktop-application-overview

Note that even if you don't get this option at this time, the new desktop app will be available to all of our users in the following weeks.

I hope this helps and let us know what you find!

Yes, of course. I followed the link in 'General' tab to try the new version, downloaded the desktop app and reinstalled it. The version that I have now is: 81.4.195

Did you receive an email to confirm this @Álvaro F. ?

If you haven't yet received the email in question, it may take some time to see the additional features and our new desktop app.

As a side note, I found your existing ticket on our system and passed your comments there so we can have all the relevant information under the same place. I can also see that it has reached the inbox of an expert from my team so you should be hearing from them soon.

Let me know if there's anything else I can help with in the meantime.

Oh, welcome to our Community too!

I'm in the same boat. Downloaded and opted into the early release version. However, now that "new Dropbox" has gone into general access/release, I am not seeing the "spaces" feature that was shown at the conference. Do I need to uninstall and re-install? Is this not out yet? My "new Dropbox" window still looks like the same as it did before the conference and announcement of these new features. Was hoping to test them out.

So how does your desktop app looks like exactly @GS321?

Could you send me some screenshots so I can have a visual too?

In addition, can you clarify the OS you'e using it on?

I'm merely asking because the New Dropbox desktop App can be used on officially supported Mac and Windows operating systems while, currently, it cannot be used on Windows 10 in S Mode or Linux operating systems.

Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there!
