Remove dropbox from old computer without losing my data

I have a couple of old computers that I wish to pass on for re-use. I would like to remove Dropbox from them to clear down the C drive, but retain Dropbax data on my new computer. ANy tips on jow to do this ? Many thanks, Ed

Thanks for reaching out to us here @Steaddie!

To remove Dropbox on just your old devices, you can simply unlink those devices from your account. Once they're unlinked and no longer connected, you can uninstall the desktop app and then simply delete the remaining Dropbox folder.

Since there won't be any connection to your account after unlinking and uninstalling the app, any changes to the files (including deletion) will not reflect in your account and therefore the new computer.
