Replacing HDD with SSD

Hi all,

I currently store my dropbox files to a 1TB internal HDD Labeled 😧 Data, my OS is on an SSD labeled C: OS.

I will be replacing the 1TB HDD with an SSD. I plan on copying all my files from the HDD to the SSD and then after installing the SSD label it 😧 Data.  Are there any precautions I should take with dropbox so nothing unexpected happens? Will everything sync as normal?

Hey @TonyGZ, thanks for reaching out on the Community for advice!
 
The only thing that comes to mind is ensuring that you’ve unlinked the Dropbox folder before starting off with the transition. Once you complete your Setup with the new SSD, you can re-sync your Dropbox files anew & move the Dropbox folder to new location. 
 
[Edit: You may also be able to "trick" the desktop app & re-link the SSD instead of the previous HDD. If so, then the steps outlined here or Rich's post here will be helpful.]
