Screenshot not working in Excel only

Explorer | Level 4

When I press the Print Screen button on my PC, the screenshot gets saved in Dropbox. This happens for everything except Excel. In Excel, when I press the Print Screen, nothing happens. Why is this so?

The Print Screen works in Word and PowerPoint.

Hey there @MAR16 - sorry to hear that.

It's possible that the shortcut you use is occupied from Excel for another function yet this would have to do with how you have Excel configured.

Having said that and as I'd like to have a further look into this, would it be OK if I reached out to you to the email address you use for your forum's profile so we can have a more in depth look into this together with all of my tools available?

PS: Have you by any chance tried to reboot your computer and/or quitting and re-launching both apps?

Thanks for the swift response @MAR16  - much appreciated!

To be competely honest, I'm not sure if this is a Dropbox related matter as the print-screen operation is handled by your computer's OS and if your Excel isn't working as expected, you should reach out to Microsoft directly.

Having said that and as I'd really like to help though, I've just sent you a brief message to your Dropbox associated email address so we can have a further look into this.

At your earliest convenience, take a look at your inbox and we'll take it from there!
