Smart Sync and Migration Assistant

I am purchasing a new MacBook Air with the M1 chip this week and I am trying to identify any issues I might have using Apple's Migration Assistant.  On my old MacBook (mid 2014) I have activated, Smart Sync, the option to not keep the physical files on my hard drive to save space.  Will I have any problems using Smart Sync as I move everything on my MacBook (mid 2014) to the new 2020 MacBook Air using Migration Assistant?

As this is related to the Apple Migration Assistance, we wouldn't be able to provide specific information on this feature.

There is a possibility that the Dropbox desktop application won't be able to sync if the username is different to the previous machine, and there could be other incompatibilities which would prevent the app from working normally.
