I have a Macbook Air. It keeps telling me that I am running out of memory and when I click on "Manage Files" it lists large old unused files from my Dropbox. What is confusing is that I have "Smart Sync" all these files to "Online Only". Why are they being highlighted by my Mac and why are they using memory space in my Mac? Does anyone know? Thank you.
How long ago were they set to SmartSync? Is it possible they are still in the local cache?
OR have you used them since which would re-download them back to your device. Smart Sync doesnt work like iCloud used to where when you worked on files it kept everything in the cloud, Dropbox has to download the files first.
