Stuck trying to link my personal and business accounts

I installed my personal account on this computer firs,t and am now trying to link my business one to it.  I get the link code but then have no idea where to enter it.  The page with the code says to go back to the installer, so I ran the installer again but it never asked me for a code.

I'm on macos Mojave, in case that matters.

I had linked my accounts together via the website, but only after I unlinked them did it start working.  I unlinked them on the website and then chose the option to link them from the settings (gear) menu in the Mac desktop app.  This time it gave me the code as before but also the SSO window opened so I had a place to enter the code.  Previously the SSO window wasn’t opening.  I think all is set up ok now.

Hey there @janineanne,
 
If you’ve connected your personal and work accounts through the website first, you should then be able to connect them through the desktop app as well. 
 
Could you please confirm if you’ve followed the steps outlined here and clarify for me if what you’re seeing is an error message? Any screenshots (without personal info) would be very helpful so as to have a better understanding of your concern.
