Sub 1Mbit/sec upload speeds on 250/250

Hi!

Not always but often enought I get sub 1Mbit/sec upload speeds on a 250/250 fiber connection.

I'm using the windows desktop client on a Core i3 Win7 and bandwith is not limited in Dropbox settings.

Thought the culprit was me using a OVPN VPN service, but disabling the VPN still gets me 370 Kb/sec

Would appreciate any ideas

Regards /Jens

Hi @dibblah, thanks for posting today!

Have you checked to see that the speed to official Dropbox domains aren't being throttled by the ISP, or any security software on your machine?

Additionally, during an upload, the transfer speeds are also dependent upon your CPU and how quickly your computer can process and compress the components of the files to make them available for upload. Have you tested the upload using another desktop machine on the same network?

Let me know how it goes!
