Hi, the sync icon is missing on my files. see attached. I have tried every way you mentioned on this forum as well as here, including
-link/unlink my account;
-uninstall/reinstall dropbox with adminstrative right;
-keep my Mac OS system to the latest
-Quit dropbox and relaunch finder
-checked dropbox is running
However, it is still not working! The sync icons appeared on my files earlier, but suddenly they just disappeared and never came back! It is causing me a lot of trouble, could someone help me out?
I'm a Mac user btw. MacOS Mojave version 10.14.4
I found the solution myself!
It is similar problem as following:
I installed an app called New File Creation. Apparently it clashes with dropbox finder extensions.

I'd just like to say, awesome job on the troubleshooting so far, you've covered most of the bases there!
Just so I can have a slightly better understanding of the situation right now, can you please let me know the sync status of the app and the version that you're running?

Hi @Daphne , thanks for reaching out. Please find attached.
My dropbox version is v81.4.195. It's syncing well, just without sync icons on files in the folder.
Hey @npk66, By any chance the Finder Integration is disabled for Dropbox? Go to MacOS settings > Extensions > Finder Extentions and make sure Dropbox Finder Integration is selected.

Can you try an advanced reinstall of the desktop app to see if that will do the trick?
