Sync is so slow. Almost took 2 weeks for 780GB

Explorer | Level 4

I have 780gb on dropbox but syncing is so slow.

I researched and tried some solutions which were topic in dropbox community.

Still . not successful.

Please let me know how to solve this issue.

Hello @felixseo. Thanks for sharing your experience. 

I hope I can help you start a better syncing week. Allow me to ask some questions to have a better idea of what is going on. 

  1. Have you set your bandwidth settings to unlimited? If not, please find the steps here
  2. Please take a speed test and let me know the results. 
  3. Finally, let me know the version of Dropbox you have installed and if the syncing status is tuck in a specific number of files.

I feel you Felix Seo. Exact same with me. Everything is double checked and maybe that's why Support never came back for me like they promised. They just don't know or even worse they're too Big to care. I've got 100/10 and most services can make it happen.

My only guess left is Dropbox Servers' location and quantity. Google on the other hand have servers everywhere.

Sorry for later reply as I was out of town.

1.  I set up bandwidth to unlimited

2. Speed Test - Down 85M / Up 15M by Spectrum service

3. dropbox v88.4.172

4. It was 7 files but now being changed 900 files syncing speed is very slow starting around 35,000files (It is taking almost 2 weeks)

As our most recent stable version of the app was just out today, could you please try it out and let us know if you're still having issues with this?
