Syncing Desktop won't stop

Hello I've I've everything to make Dropbox stop synicing my desktop. I have made sure that its off preferences (I've looked and nothing is there). I went our online Dropbox to try to delete it and its gives me "Couldn't delete 1 item." I've uninstalled the app but yet its still synicing this desktop. How do I stop this? I made the mistake when I was installing it that I wanted it to back it up. Please help.

Hey there @HHA1973; thanks for posting on our Community!

 

If I understand correctly, you'd like to disable the computer backup feature for your computer's Desktop folder; correct me if I'm wrong please.

 

In that case, you'll need to follow these steps; could you give it a go and let me know how it goes?

Okay great. But it's still not letting me delete the filies in Dropbox. It give me the error message "Couldn't delete 1 item" from the online.
