Syncing Issues with PC

Syncing Issues with PC

I have reached the limit of free storage with Dropbox; however, before the limit was reached, Dropbox stopped syncing the shared filed onto my PC. I have to login to the website to see the changes made. 

 

Is there any way I can get my PC to sync the rest of the unsynced files?

HI there @proinsulationcontracting; welcome to our Community!

 

As your account seems to be out of quota, it's expected that syncing through the desktop app would stop. 

 

Can you please tell me what is your account's plan tab reporting? 

 

Also, is this a shared file you're talking about or a shared folder perhaps?

Hi Walter,

 

The account's plan tab reporting is "Dropbox Basic". And I'm talking about a shared folder!

Thanks for clarifying that @proinsulationcontracting

 

Since shared folders take up space in every member's account, you might need some additional space to add it to your account and have it sync normally through our desktop app. 

 

Let me know if this makes sense!
