Sorry to hear about this @Heber, could you try reinstalling after making sure there's no firewall, antivirus or VPN/proxy setting interfering with our desktop app

Hi, I try reinstall and don't work.

I disable my firewall and antivirus but the problem still. I don't have proxy/vpn.

The transparent area is a clickable area.

Sorry to hear this persists @Heber!

I guess an advanced re-install would be the next step here but let's try something else before doing that - shall we? Could you try unlinking and relinking your account and let me know if it helped?

Please follow these steps to unlink and relink your computer:

1) Right-click the Dropbox icon in the system tray by the clock.
2) Click on the gear icon in the Notifications panel, and select "Preferences".
3) Select the Account tab.
4) Click the "Unlink" button in the Account tab.
5) Your Dropbox will then prompt you to re-enter your account information.

Your account should then take a few moments to re-index your Dropbox folder and sync any pending changes before returning to normal activity.

I am having a very similar issue on Windows 10 Professional (64-bit) + Dropbox v70.4.93

In my case, I can only see the Dropbox app pop-up/window and text IF there is a black/dark background behind Dropbox; either a dark desktop or another application with a dark apearance. Otherwise, the Dropbox app UI either shows as a white box or sometimes as what looks like nearly 100% transparency where you can just about see the white outline, but can't see any of the texts.

Switching Windows' transparency setting OFF does not help.

I have over 150GB in my Dropbox account with many thousands of files.  Trying to do a reinstall that will trigger a resynch of all files will be an absolute nightmare. I have huge bandwidth, but the Dropbox servers are VERY slow and poor at serving large numbers of files. It usually takes well over 10 days to get all of my files.

Thanks for your very prompt reply Walter.

I was hoping that the app had some UI or resource settings (even if hidden in the registry) that we would be able to edit to set the fonts and/or colour scheme as a temporary work-around.

With the time it will take to get back online after a reinstall, that is just not an option for me right now. It has been like this for months, so I'll leave as-is and hope that a fix will be published at some point.

This process should be fairly speedy @Jim-De-Brown  - don't worry. Remember, you can always access your files through our website as well
