The interface on my desktop app is blurry

Ever since Dropbox changed the interface on its desktop application, the text has been blurry - white outlines - on my MacBook Pro. Anyone else have the same problem?

It's now working fine, even though I didn't change anything. I've got my fingers crossed. If it goes back to the blurry text, I'll try advance re-install.

Could you try rebooting your computer and, if that doesn't do the trick, try reinstalling the desktop app? To do this:
  1. Save and quit all programs that access files in the Dropbox folder.
  2. Stop the Dropbox desktop app from running by closing it
  3. Delete the Dropbox app from the Applications folder. 
  4. Reinstall the desktop app.
  5. Open the Dropbox .dmg file and double click the Dropbox icon.

Dropbox should then appear in your menu bar.

 

Please note that if you're on a Basic (free) account, there's a three device limit and you'll have to make sure that you've got less than three devices connected to proceed.

Hi, Lusil – Yes, I tried re-booting and re-installing (twice). Alas, no luck!

Thanks for confirming that for me, @alphie

 

Have you also tried an advanced reinstall? Bear in mind that, as mentioned previously, there's a three device limit if you're on a Basic account.
