My existing Dropbox install is still based on the ubuntu repo at https
/linux.dropboxstatic.com/ubuntu/dists/ - however, that seems not be updated since 16.04.
Current install instructions at https/www.dropbox.com/de/install-linux mention to directly install the .deb - is the repo not used anymore, and will the .deb install auto-update without repo?
And - can I safely remove the repo and my client will still auto-update?

In the meantime, you can use the build at https
/www.dropbox.com/install-linux and the desktop application should be able to auto-update to newer versions.Hope this helps!
