Unable to access dropbox when installed

Hi! I have a complicated issue and am unable to fix it using Advanced Reinstall

 

I used to name my computer (MacOS) "A" but I felt it was not a good idea as I have used my computer in a professional/educational setting, so I changed the name to "B".

 

When I delete and reinstall dropbox on my computer, it still tries to read dropbox from /User/A instead of "B". I can't find the files to completely uninstall dropbox and the settings are still saved, so it tries to read from A instead.

 

I also have deleted the dropbox file where I have saved all my documents, which might not have been a smart move but it's too late now. Unsure what I can do to fix the issue.

Hi @matchalatte, thanks for posting on the Community!

 

The advanced reinstall should have worked, however, if you changed the username on the machine, then you can try the steps in this thread to resolve the issue.
