Just downloaded. Click on icon. Get a blank box in the middle of screen with 'Set Up Dropbox".
Nothing from there?

After a reinstall of windows I see the same thing. Multiple uninstalls and reinstalls of dropbox, and removing my ~/Dropbox folder didn't help. At this thread's suggestion I downloaded 15.4.22 which does show the login screen. But when I try to log in I see "You're using an old version of Dropbox. Please download the latest version"
Any newer workaround or idea what is causing this issue?
That didn't work for me on Windows 10. Stable Builds 16.4.29 through 19.4.13 have the same problem. Stable Builds 15.4.22 and earlier don't have that problem, but after I log in (with single sign-on) It says "You're using an old version of Dropbox. Please download the latest version at www.dropbox.com/downloading."
@jay_g: I was able to login by typing my credentials into the grey screen!

Worked for me, too *this time* - have tried several times today, but not seeing anything I probably messed up somehow each time. Or more like, the planets momentarily aligned. Thank you jtb.
Thanks @jtb, but that didn't work for me either. I just contacted Dropbox support and will update this thread accordingly.
