Unable to search whole webpage using Ctrl+F

Starting today, I have not been to search a whole Dropbox webpage using Ctrl+F in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. I have also attempted on my desktop and my laptop, and restarted both machines. I have disabled all extensions, and attempted in safe mode.

Whenever I attempt a search, it will only search through the items that are displayed on the screen.

Any ideas?

I see this bug too.  I reproduced it in Chrome Version 58.0.3029.110 (64-bit) on Linux Mint 18.1 and on Windows 10.  Same for Firefox 53.0.2 (64-bit), using fresh browser profiles.

 

Dropbox support claims the bug is not reproducible and blames third party software.

To my understanding you’re both experiencing issues with the Ctrl + F option on the Dropbox website across multiple different browsers and devices?
 
If you’ve already tried out the following:
 
  • restore browser settings 
  • disable plugins
  • try incognito mode
  • clear your browser cache

 

and have not been able to resolve this issue, could you both please submit support requests at www.dropbox.com/support or or http://bit.ly/2m56L7z and get back to me once you’ve submitted a request with your ticket ID? 

 
That way, I can search for your requests in our system and you can begin troubleshooting with our team.

To follow up: I managed to report the bug to an engineer through Dropbox support. Dropbox says the bug is confirmed but there is currently no timeline to fix it.
