Uploading and syncing has stopped on my Mac (Mojave 10.14.6)

Files added to a Dropbox folder on my Mac now show no symbol and do not upload or sync.  Would deleting the App and reinstalling resolve this issue and restore all current files on the Mac?

Hi there @humphreyyg, thanks for posting your question on the Dropbox Community. 

 

Before we try reinstalling the desktop app, let's try some other troubleshooting steps first. 

 

For this reason, could you let me know what you see when you hover over the Dropbox icon that should be next to your computer's clock?

 

If you don't see it there, it means that the desktop app isn't running and you'll need to relaunch it from your applications menu. 

 

Let me know what you find, cheers!

The Dropbox icon had disappeared from near the computer clock.  I double-clicked Dropbox in the applications list and my Dropbox folders quickly synchronised and look to be back to normal.  Many thanks for your help in resolving this issue for me.
