Using Dropbox To Sync To Synology

Using Dropbox To Sync To Synology

New member | Level 2

Hi There,

Hope all is good! We want to start using a synology server to copy our data from dropbox so we have a local backup of everything.

Looking at Synology CloudSync it looks like that they do a service which copies all the data from your Synology server to Dropbox but really we want to copy all the data from Dropbox to our Synology server (basically the other way around from CloudSync).

Has anyone done this? Before we go out and spend a ton on a server I just wanted to know if people are doing this? Can you install dropbox on the Synology server and create a new user which locally syncs everything that we make on our other machines and of all time?

Thanks for your help in advance!!

Will

Hi @wareynolds96, thanks for posting today!

There might be a third party app that can help to sync your files to Synology, though we don't have information on which apps would be suitable.

I'll leave this thread open for other users to contribute their suggestions.
