Using Synology DS920 for Offline Backup

Using Synology DS920 for Offline Backup

Hello everyone, we want to provide a offline backup solution for Dropbox, we'd basically be using the DS920+ | Synology Inc. to do it since Synology supports a direct hook into Dropbox without having to stage the data anywhere

Setup: There are a handful of machines they all use individual Dropbox accounts then there will be 1 machine which has the DS920 attached that will connect directly to Dropbox and pull down the data for an offline backup.

Has anyone done this with Dropbox, any feedback from the anyone would be highly appreicated!

I'm doing the same thing, as well as using the 920 for a time machine backup. I followed these tutorials:

Local Path = the folder on your Synology 920 NAS that will hold you Dropbox files
Remote Path = by default should be set to your root folder (meaning your entire dropbox)
