Video wont be uploaded

Explorer | Level 3

Hi,

So I am trying to upload a video to Dropbox for school (the video is 48.3 M, though im not sure what that means) but it will not upload and gives me a little message at the bottom of my screen that there was an upload processing error. I also tried uploading it through Gmail but that doesnt seem to work either.

Please help if you know how to fix it.

Hi,

There might be several reasons behind this problem:

1) First of all make sure you have enough space in your Dropbox account. You can check available space by visiting dropbox.com and clicking on user icon (upper right).

2) Check your internet connection. Sometimes iternet interruptions prevent stable uploads to Dropbox.

3) If you have enough storage then try to upload your video file using different browser.  Sometimes using incognito mode helps.

4) You may also consider installing Dropbox app to your PC and placing video files to Dropbox folder. You'll see green check mark once your file is uploaded to Dropbox.

Hope it helps,

Behzod

Hey @Tylan, let me follow-up a bit more closely with you on this error message!

#1. As an initial point of reference, can you let me know whether you’re trying to upload your files via our desktop application/ our website or your phone? Are you saving your files to Dropbox by a third-partry application by any chance?

#2. What are the steps you’re following? As you’ve mentioned that you’re getting an error message, I’d appreciate a screenshot (omitting personal info) of what this message reads in your next post here, so as to get a better idea of what’s happening.

Once I have this info, I’ll make sure to follow-up with you asap. Thanks in advance for the time you’re devoting on the matter & I’ll be awaiting your next reply on this discussion!
