It can take a few days to a week for it to happen - depending upon when each device checks in etc.

Hey @Frank P E., thanks for checking in and sharing this with us!

Normally all devices no longer meeting the system requirements should have instantly been automatically signed out of, or should have began experiencing connection” issues.

Since you’ve mentioned this didn’t take place immediately for one of your devices, could you check if that device was connected and Dropbox was running at that time? Also, since your last post, has anything changed, or not yet?

Thanks in advance!

So, what's actually incompatible now with DropBox - I presume networking and file access still works ? I became a paying Dropbox customer precisely because it "just worked" and now it appears to "just not work".

Is there a public API we could write a user-supported application with ?

If Dropbox had a Java client, we could have a "run anywhere" version that synced our files ....

It seem that the only  windows OS'es supported are Win7 and later --- FYI  Win7 EOL is  in 2020 -- so be  ready to

upgrade again

Yup, that's right, @Frank P E.

The System Requirements for all OS's (desktop, mobile, web) can be found, here, if anyone's interested:

What are the system requirements to run Dropbox?

(And, of course, it's always updated when any changes are made - additions of new OS's or sunsets of old ones)

Since the Dropbox desktop application is regularly updated with new features, better performance, and security enhancements, adjustments need to be made on occasion to always remain compatible.
