Why am I not getting any notifications of new files on my account?

Hi there,

My boss uses Dropbox to send important, time sensitive voice memos to me and so it is urgent that Dropbox notifies me when a new file is added. However, the syncing feature has never worked for me in this way. I can go hours or days without a notification that a new file has been uploaded but then I click into Dropbox and all of these voice memos are waiting for me unnotified. What's more, Dropbox will then notify me like 10 minutes after I'm done using the file that there's a new file...that is the file that has been there possibly for days now. It's like it's not fetching the data until I force it to.

 

What gives?

Hi @MichaelHI, thanks for posting today!

 

Which device are you experiencing this issue on? Have you enabled notifications in the Dropbox desktop application, and are they also enabled in your OS settings?
