I could see that you’ve chatted in to my colleague, where you’ve made some progress together,
That's funny. The reality is he was completely unhelpful and seems to fail to understand that the persistent launching of the desktop app is a NEW behavior.
Like everyone else, I understand how to change the preferences that don't address the issue but am still irritated and frustrated that the desktop app continues to launch at login and relaunches after it's been quit.

@Jane According to this (https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Installs-integrations/Can-t-remove-Dropbox-icon-from-Mac-OS-Dock/td-...) there is a way to 'opt-out'/revert/stop the desktop app from launching and you or someone in support knows how to do it.
So how is that done?
