Wrong SSL certification

Heya!

Whenever I try to access www.Dropbox.com or any other part of the site on my Laptop it responds
“Your Connection is not private” and throws a ERR_CERT_AUTHORITY_INVALID error.

Upon checking the SSL cert it’s changed to a cert issued to VMWARE which is invalid(?)

Any suggestions on how to correct this?

Hey @SamanthaSpectre, thank you for posting on our Community and sorry for the delayed reply. 

 

Are you perhaps running a VPN, or antivirus?

 

Could you try using a different web browser, and see if that helps resolve the issue.

 

You can also try restoring your browser to its default settings and disable any browser plugins.

Heya

No VPN or antivirus being used and it’s happening on all web browsers unfortunately. Regardless of plug-ins

It’s only Dropbox that has had its SSL cert changed to VMware strange haha

Hi @SamanthaSpectre, is it possible you have a proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router issues that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
