there is no "change folder location" in the preferences window on ubuntu 16.04 (64 bit).

That option didn't exist in the .deb I downloaded, but a full uninstall and restinall from commandline seems to have fixed it.

The linux client is ext4 only? I can't seems to use my NTFS drive, even though the Windows and OSX clients both support that system. Any chance the eng team could expand the whitelist?

Hi @stein-tower-19, thanks for reaching out to us here!

Once you open up the "Preferences..." option from the Dropbox icon, you'll need to switch to the "Sync" tab from along the top of the window to see the option to move the folder.

Are you not able to see the option there? If not, can you send me a screenshot of what you can see in the "Sync" tab there?

Let me know what you find!

I'm glad to hear that @stein-tower-19!

The desktop app can be ran on the following file system types with an Ubuntu OS:

  • ext4
  • zfs (on 64-bit systems only)
  • eCryptFS (back by ext4)
  • xfs (on 64-bit systems only)
  • btrfs

At the moment, NTFS is only supported for Windows OS and the Windows version of the desktop app.

I hope this helps!
