computer offline cannot connect

Wbr42

For last several week I cannot access to dropbox service through windows desktop application.

I haven't change a thing in network settings, firewall or antivirus. I just stop connecting saying: Your computer is currenty offline. Please check you network settings.

OS: Win 10 64 bit actualized
Antivirus/Firewall: Eset

I tryied all tips from discussions (including uninstalling completely) and all tips from this page: https://www.imobie.com/cloud-tips/dropbox-not-connecting-problem.htm

The proxy settings keep changing to Auto-detect which could be the cause, but I cannot find a way to set it to None permanently.

Please help.

It seems that it was caused by Eset.

I tried this https://support.eset.com/kb3487/?locale=en_US&viewlocale=en_US and after several attempts it finally works!

Thanks!

Hey there @Wbr42  - sorry about the tardy response.

Could you start by ensuring that there's no antivirus, firewalls or VPN/proxy settings that could be causing this?

Specifically in regards to your antivirus (ESET) note that this product may conflict with Dropbox when SSL scanning is enabled. Possible workarounds are to exclude the Dropbox certificate within the "Ask about non-visited sites" mode, as well as to exclude dropbox.exe from protocol filtering.

Let me know of any updates!
