Dropbox copies everything I create on my laptop, how can I stop that and choose only the files I want to be shared on dropbox to be shared? Also, there are files on dropbox that I don't want them to be shared, I tried unsharing them and dropbox deleted from my laptop as well, what do I need to do?

Hey there @he6464; welcome to the Community!
 

To be completely honest, I'm not quite sure how this might have happened; could it be that you enabled the computer backup feature when you installed the desktop app on your computer?

 

If that's the case indeed, you can disable it using these steps.
