Apps and Installations

The dropbox app won't let me login on the iPad app, it keeps giving me the message "login failed" even though the credentials are 100% accurate.
Also, for every four or five tries I do, it takes me to a page with a captcha and asks me to verify. The captchas are mostly illegible, but when I finally do find one I can read I type it in and click verify only to have the app kick me out to the sign in screen and give me that same "login failed" message.
Note: my iPad iOS and dropbox app are both completely up to date.

I got rid of all capitals and numbers from my password and changed it via the ipad and that worked!
Love the added security of only allowing all-lowercase passwords.

Good one, mate.
Evidently this has been a problem for years. My iPad is now refusing to let me login as well.
Does Dropbox have any techs monitoring these forums?
There are plenty of other file-sharing/cloud-storage solutions out there. I think my "solution" will be to abandon DropBox.
i have the same issue since few days, correct password but cannot login via my iPad, Dropbox sucks !!!

Same problem !!!
"Login Failed"
I give up and use Box.com
For those of you on older iPads, remember that the Dropbox app now requires iOS 10, and older versions of the Dropbox app that would previously connect to Dropbox are being blocked as they are no longer compatible with the service. So for some of you, this isn't a case of a simple problem that can be resolved, and is, in fact, planned obsolescence of the Dropbox app.
If you have an older iPad on iOS 9 or earlier, it's just a matter of time before it's no longer able to connect to the Dropbox service.
Thank you Rich, Dropbox should give such an explanation instead of "login failed".
