I often take pictures or create PDFs with my iphone and want to upload specific files to specific locations. (I don't want to automatically upload all my photos)
In prior versions I got a dialog box asking me to edit file name, which folder I wanted to save it to, etc.
Now i am getting something that asks for notes (ok, but would rather not have that field) but even worse insists on a "to" email address before I can press "post"
Most of the time I'm just saving the file for myself on dropbox and don't want to email anyone.
How can I restore the earlier functionality which did not require an email address?

Sorry to hear you're having issues with this @zorglups.
From what I understand you're clicking on the Dropbox icon that shows in the first row of options you get - right?
There should be another row of options below that includes the 'Save to Dropbox' option. If you choose this one, you won't get prompted to enter an email address.
If you're not seeing this, please send me a screenshot so I can get a better understanding of the matter at hand.
Thanks!

Hey there @Shawn C. !
Can you let me know the exact steps you take to do this? Also, make sure that your devices' OS are up to date and that you are running the latest version of our mobile app for iOS (currently 100.2). In case you haven’t done so already, could you please update to the latest version of the Dropbox app and let me know if you're still experiencing the same problem?
Bear in mind that to manually upload files from the Dropbox application on iPhone, all you need to do is this:
From the Dropbox application on iPad:
Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there Shawn. Thanks!

I have same issue. Today received feedback that this due to iOS...
After further investigation I want to let you know that the problem you’re experiencing appears to be caused by another app or service you’re using, not by Dropbox. We’re unable to provide support for third-party apps or services.
Yes indeed @Koen G. - as this is a behavioral change made within iOS you'd need to reach out to Apple and ask for this - maybe submit a feature request even?
As mentioned, should you need to upload directly to Dropbox from your mobile device please follow this steps:
1. Open the Dropbox app.
2. Tap the plus button (+) at the bottom of your screen.
3. Choose “Upload Photos”.
4. Tap "Camera Roll" on the top to change which album you upload photos from.
5. Find the files you want to upload, and tap to select them for upload.
6. Tap the folder icon to set the destination folder for your files.
7. Tap Upload.
I hope this helps to some extent. If there's anything else I can do from my end to assist with this, please let me know and have a good day!

Well. I cannot believe that this is because of iOS.
I can share anything (eg: save a mail attachement) to OneDrive by just selecting a folder.
As reported here, with Dropbox, we are forced to publish it to someone and can't just save it for ourselves.
With Dropbox, one has to:
- Save the attachement to Files (iOS).
- Switch to the Dropbox application to open from File and upload it to Dropbox.
This is really annoying and makes me switch to onedrive more often than before.
Can you please fix this ?
