I'm using Mojave 10.14 and today I noticed Dropbox was not in the Finder. I tried opening the App and nothing happened. I restarted the computer, the App still won't start and Dropbox does not appear in the finder. I reinatelled the Dropbox App, still no luck. The only way I can get to Dropbox is via the web.
What am I doing wrong? Please advise.
Thanks for your help.

No, it is not in the menu bar. When you go to Force Quit, it is not listed there.
Did all the steps in ‘having trouble uninstalling the Dropbox app’ and reinstalled Dropbox and it seems to be working now, THANKS
Glad to hear that it’s working again! Have a great mid-week. 🙂

Hey, I am having the exact same trouble, except that I can't follow the steps listed on this link because I don't have the dropbox icon in the upper menu bar, so I can't find my initials nor the Preferences menu... Can you please help me out?
I've installed online/offline .dmg file and rebooted my machine many times...

So, I previously had the Dropbox app running just fine on my computer, but my Dropbox admin deleted the access I had to give me a new one and everything went down from then.
I accessed my new account, created a password and online everything worked ok. Then I wanted to download the app to be ables to access my files from my Finder.
I clicked on the link the Dropbox website showed to download the app, double-clicked on the icon in the installation module and then the installation seems to go ahead but without resulting in anything.
Clicking on the Dropbox icon from my apps in the Finder results in nothing, no error message. I don't see it in the upper menu bar either.
And when I try to uninstall the app, it shows the same error message as jhb1 attached: "can't be moved to the Trash because it's open."
Only if I reboot my computer can I deinstall Dropbox but when I try to installa and open again, same as before...
FIY I tried to install both Dropboxinstaller.dmg and Dropbox 85.4.155.dmg...
