"Allow access to dropbox" window keeps popping up.

Explorer | Level 4

Seems the big mistake I made was to update dropbox.  The installation is succesful and compleate but the window "allow acess to dropbox" pops up every 5 min and clicking on allow does not stop it. Is this a Windows 10 issue or dropbox?

I'm sorry to hear you're having issues with this. Could you try to re-install our desktop application using the most recent version's offline installer found in the link below and let me know if you're still getting this error message?

https://www.dropbox.com/downloading?build=81.4.195&plat=win&type=full 

If this error is persistent, please forward me a screenshot so I can have a further look.

Thanks in advance!

PS: I'd suggest also making sure that you're installing it using admin rights on your computer.

Thankyou.  I re-installed making sure to use admin.  Seems to have cured the problem.

Hello,

I am getting the same issue with Dropbox requesting to Allow Access over and over when I try to sign in with Google, but it is only on the mobile app. The Desktop app and website login for Dropbox work fine, though, which is weird.

Can you send me a screenshot of the exact error message you get so I can have a further look into this? 

Could you also let me know which version of our mobile app you're using and if you've rebooted your device lately?

Error is attached. Mobile app version is 170.2.8 which is the latest update from Google Play.  I rebooted my phone once within the last hour and I also tried Allowing Access to the app manually, but nothing works...Screenshot_20200114-213442.png

Can you let me know what happens when you click on the normal sign-in button (the one's that's shown in the background to the bottom of your screenshot)?

Do you get the same results? 

If you do, would it be OK if I reached out via your Dropbox email address to work on this together?

In the meantime, you should be able to access your Dropbox account normally via a web browser on your mobile device. I know it's far from optimal but it should help for the time being.

Yeah, all other options to sign in with Google works, except the mobile app itself. When I try to use the SIGN IN at the bottom of the screenshot, I still cannot sign in with Google as the same error appears after I allow access. Also, when I try manually entering my Google credentials to sign in, it tells me "incorrect email or password..."
