signing in on another computer problem

So I've been successfully using DB on PCs, Macs, mobile devices, etc.   I get a new iMac, install DB, go to sign in and get "There is a problem completing this request" error, even after uninstalls and reinstalls.  So maybe an account issue?   Works fine through a browser and on all over computers.  I'm baffled.  Help!

Tried installing and updating to the newest version: www.dropbox.com/downloading

Friend, I've installed, uninstalled and reinstalled the full version half a dozen times.  The install is fine.  I just can't sign in with the desktop app.

 

Any other ideas

What OS and version are you currently running on your device?

Is this a company-managed device, or a personal machine?

Thanks - it's a 2015 iMac, running the latest MacOS (I forget the number).

 

It's a personal machine.   The drive was wiped and a fresh OS install a few months ago.

Thanks, whatever those terminal commands did it must have cleared out some odd hidden issue.

 

I've logged in and it's running normally now.
