Why do I have a Dropbox directory and another Dropbox directory under the Users?
They look to be the same. Both have a creation date of Oct 30, 2016 an are the same size, about 5.0gb.
I am concerned because I want to free up some space on a small SSD C-drive
Its the same on 2 desktops and a laptop.
Can I change the location to a D-drive and get rid on the other one.
Not sure How I got here
David

Hey there David - how are you today?
I guess you're looking at the same folder (maybe one instance is through your computer's quick access menus?) - but could you send a screenshot just to be sure?
If that's not the case, I'd suggest that you first determine which one is the syncing one (you can tell by the icons on the files/folders from within the folder itself) and then act according to your needs (move or copy to another place or delete if you need to).
If you'd like to move your Dropbox folder to an external drive use the steps outlined in the Help Center article below:
https/www.dropbox.com/help/desktop-web/move-dropbox-folder
Additionally, you should ensure that the file system of the external drive meets the file system requirements. Those can be found in the following Help Center article:
https/www.dropbox.com/help/desktop-web/system-requirements
Alternatively, you can use our selective sync option which is a great way to save disk space by unsyncing folders. You can learn more about it on the following page:
https/www.dropbox.com/help/syncing-uploads/selective-sync-overview
I hope this helps and please keep me posted on your findings @dcurrier !
