Can I do this with DropBox? (Please help me to decide)

Can I do this with DropBox? (Please help me to decide)

New member | Level 2

Hey guys, I want to buy business plan but I'm new and have a question first.

Can I share a file with a guy that only can edit and work on that file without being able to copy or download and get that file for himself?

For example it's a blender file can he edite and work on that file without being able to save that file on his own PC?

No I'm afraid you cant do that with any Dropbox plan.

The whole way Dropbox works is that everything is stored locally on every persons device. There would be nothing to stop them File -> Save as or even copying/pasting that file elsewhere. I'd hazard a guess that this is the same with 99% of file sharing apps.
